Train Dispatcher by Signal Computer Consultants
Train Dispatcher 3 is a Windows based program which simulates a railroad Centralized Traffic Control system on a PC computer. You control the movement of trains by throwing switches and clearing signals.
Train Dispatchers are the air traffic controllers of the railroads. They control the movement of trains over large track territories. This game simulates the gargantuan routing tasks a real-life dispatcher faces daily. The problem is that trains must share a limited number of tracks. In some cases a single track must be shared by trains going in opposite directions. It is the job of the dispatcher to control the movement of trains over this limited resource, which can create one bottleneck after another.

TrainMaster
TrainMaster is now part of the RailDriver family of train simulation products. RailDriver now sells and supports this original train simulation software which features the most realistic physics of any train simulation software on the market.
While the Original TrainMaster provides accurate simulation on the early PCs it was designed for, we are working diligently to develop an entirely new generation of Train Master Train Simulator (TMTS). Building on TrainMaster's superior physics and adding the sophisticated rendering capabilities of today's graphic engines, TMTS will offer support for routes and models based on popular train simulation programs like Microsoft Train Simulator.

Valve Gear on the Computer
Ed Pick
In 1986 I wrote the first of the MS-Dos versions of the software to simulate Baker valve gear. Since then I have made continuous additions and improvements to add other types of valve gear and improve functionality and ease of use. In early 1999 I started converting one of the valve gears to the Windows format. I have made the software available by placing it in the public domain as freeware. There are no restrictions on the use of the software. I, the author accept no responsibility for any claim arising from the use of the software.
The programs can be used with the default settings to view operation and characteristics of any of the types of valve gear supported. They may also be used to check or change designs as all the dimensions in the gear can be modified. Some of the MS-Dos types of valve gear also include a design section. Performance for all types can be viewed using several different types of diagrams.
