Carr's Locomotives builds 1.6 scale 7 1/2"" gauge electric powered model locomotives. We fabricate almost all of our own parts in our full service machine shop. Our base of operations is in New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada. All of our locomotives are constructed from 16 gauge steel, with attention paid to details such as working cab doors, operating roof access panels, grab rails, etc. We currently offer six models, with more in the future. In addition to these, we can custom build to your specifications. Other paint schemes are also available.

Our business, established in 1976 has been trading from our showroom and workshops in the Sussex village of Rotherfield since 1982, supplying engineering tools and small machines together with live steam models. By 1994 we had introduced a range of electric powered diesel electric model locomotives, from a small 0-4-200 shunter our range now includes 10 models in 5"" and 7?"" gauge, several have been supplied to clubs and garden centre railways for semi commercial use. In fact most weekends in the season we can be found running our own locos and rolling stock at a miniature railway in a wildfowl park in East Sussex.

Manufacturer of large scale outdoor diesel outline gas/hydraulic powered model trains. The F7 A diesel is supplied with 16 horsepower twin cylinder Briggs. The F7 A or F7 B has 11 gallon per minute pump. It has 9 gallons of hydraulic fluid and weighs 550 pounds. If you are looking for something to pull a lot of weight in a main line engine, not a switcher engine, then this is the engine for you. We can also make you; F7 AA Back to back, F7 AB, F7 ABA, F7 ABB.
