Maine - MaiNe Track Club Page New Open link in new window
Welcome to the MaiNe Track Club Page.

MaiNe Track is an N-Scale modular group in Southern Maine. The modules are built following our own unique standards. This allows for modules to be setup together in a variety of ways, but each module will match each other exactly. We are an informal group, meeting at members houses in a round robin fashion. As a group we will be attending and operating at a variey of model railroad shows in the area. See our schedule for a list of places and times. MaiNe Track, although consisting of one group, is designed to have various groups in various parts of the state. If interested in joining our group, or are interested in starting a group in your area, contact us for more info.

While creative freedom is a trademark of MaiNe Track, there are certain limitations to the construction of the modules to ensure compatibility and trouble free operation. These are described in the following module standards.

MaiNe Track has an on-line discussion group you can join! Although created initially for the members of the group, the list has now been expanded to include discussion topics offered by other Maine area N-Scale enthusiasts.

Northeast T-TRAK Club Page

T-TRAK is a modular model railroad system based on a few standards for module size, track placement, track interface, and electrical connections. The minimal standards allow for a wide range of flexibility in design yet still maintain interoperability with all modules built per the standards. The popularity of T-TRAK is worldwide allowing for modules from all over the world to connect together.

New Jersey - Burlington County Model Railroad Club New Open link in new window
Cinnaminson, NJ - On our layout we have not attempted to model any particular real-life scenes, but rather, typical railroad trackage and places, adapting them to fit the space we have available. And we do not attempt to model any one railroad exclusively. The locomotives and cars are lettered to represent real railroads—though many no longer exist—as well as fictitious railroads. We call our miniature railroad the Rancocas Valley Lines, which is appropriate for this area. The original idea for this layout is to represent portions of a railroad that goes from tidewater to mountains, running through the typical station and industrial area of a large city, then countryside, while serving those industries that would use rail shipments.

New Jersey - Garden State Central Model Railroad Club New Open link in new window
Wall, NJ - You can still see pictures of our former HO-gauge layout in Asbury Park, with a 300 foot mainline which traversed four rooms. The railroad featured prototype scenes of the Lehigh Valley, Central Railroad of New Jersey (CNJ), Reading and Erie railroads, modeled after actual places along our route from Scranton, PA to Jersey City, NJ. The layout featured the huge Bethlehem Steel Mill in Bethlehem, PA -- a fantastic model built almost entirely from scratch! Trains roll past the REA building and the infamous Coney Island Texas Weiners in Scranton, past the well-known blue tank in Allentown and call on the docks of Jersey City complete with it's operating McMyler coal dumper... all in 1:87th scale! Sadly, we lost our home and this layout is gone, but we were able to save a lot of scenery and building from the old layout. We can't wait to get started on our next one!

Pennsylvania - Royersford Modular Model Railroaders New Open link in new window
Royersford, PA - When Lansdale’s North Penn Model Railroad Club lost its lease in 1994, that club dismantled its model railroad display and dissolved, but several of the former members began a new club in Oaks the following year.

Unfortunately, after six years of building, and before even one public show could be held, they lost their home there, and had to repeat the demolition and moving process.

After that experience, members decided that wherever they moved the club in the future, they would build a "modular" railroad layout, to allow it to be easily moved when needed.

RMMR was formed early in 2002, and presented its first show in August of that year in Norristown. Most of the founding members had been members of the Oaks Model Railroad Club. Some have gone, but others have joined us. Although we are still not a large club, we have been able to improve the display layout and present successful shows for several years, and hope that the club will grow, and remain successful for a long time to come.

Connecticut - Connecticut S Gaugers Open link in new window
The Connecticut "S" Gaugers was formed in 1981 by Bill Krause. We are a very informal group of individuals from Connecticut and neighboring states who like to get together once a month, mostly in members' homes. When we do, our sole purpose is to talk about and operate all kinds of "S" Gauge trains.

At the present time our membership is equally distributed among American Flyer® enthusiasts who may collect and/or operate vintage tinplate trains, "S" Scalers who like their trains to be scaled down to exactly 1/64th of the real ones and the Hirailers who are a hybrid of both American Flyer® and Scale modelers, combining features of both. All of them are considered welcome "S" Gaugers to our club. We have so much to learn from one another!
