S Scale Model Trains
This site is devoted to all aspects of model railroading in 1:64 or S scale. S scale is 3/16ths of an inch to the foot or a ratio of 1:64. It fits nicely between 1:87 scale (HO), and 1:48 (O). It doesn't yet have the mass following of HO, N, or even O Gauge. However it has always had a small but devoted group of model railroaders and is now enjoying a potentially explosive growth because of the availability of more products than at any time previously. Examine S and you'll see why it's the "S"ensible size.
