IAS Railway Model Stuttgart
The model railway plant of the institute for automation and software technology serves as test range for the InterNet-based remote control of a technical process. The remote control is used in the framework of an on-line practical course attempt in the specialized practical course automatic control engineering. The remote control makes the direct access possible in the model railway facility, e.g. by means of the transmission of timetables or the control of individual courses, switches and signals. With Web cameras the expirations on the plant can be observed. A local safeguard software prevents the execution of dangerous operations, in order to avoid inadvertent situations in the enterprise as for example a collision from courses to.
